FieldDescriptionValidated Entry
[Table title]Name of monitoring programmeNutrient Inputs From Land-Based (Diffuse and Point) Sources
[ProgrammeDescription]Description of the monitoring programme

The OSPAR Riverine Inputs and Direct Discharges monitoring programme (RID) estimates the riverborne and direct inputs of some contaminants to the waters covered by the Convention. The main pressures covered are contaminants arising from agriculture, industry, households, wastewater treatment plants and industrial installations and aquaculture

[OtherPoliciesConventions]Monitoring for other Union legislation or international agreements that contributes to the programme.OSP-CEMP

[Quality Assurance Procedures in Place]In addition to a specified method, is there any additional Quality Assurance used?Section 11: https://www.ospar.org/documents?d=33689
[Quality Control]What type of Quality Control is used?

When analytical results are received from laboratories, it is recommended that a routine is established where the analytical data are assessed as early as possible, including a comparison with former datasets from the same station. This will make it possible to detect anomalies early on, and thereby allow for any necessary re-analysis of samples with dubious results.
