[ProgrammeDescription]Description of the monitoring programme.Interactions with fisheries including incidental bycatch and entanglement are among the primary human-induced causes of mortality for leatherback and loggerhead turtles.   Monitoring will be based on existing fisheries and stranding monitoring efforts deployed in OSPAR Countries. Parameters will include bycatch of dead and live turtles, with the number of fishing trips/days at sea, fishing effort and recordings of stranding events.
